On February 2, 2026, His Eminence Frank Cardinal Leo visited St. Augustine's Seminary to mark the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord.

His Eminence presided at the celebration of the Holy Eucharist and offered the seminarians and formators a colloquium on the theme of discipleship.

In his talk, Cardinal Leo reminded seminarians of the need to be a disciple (a sheep of the Lord’s flock) before becoming a shepherd. He drew from Scripture the images and characteristics of discipleship, encouraging the seminarians to a deeper friendship with and commitment to the Lord.

His words were deeply appreciated as an unfolding of the most essential foundation of the life and ministry of a priest – to be first a disciple of Jesus. We are grateful to His Eminence for his ongoing dedication to and support of St. Augustine's Seminary.
