On February 2, 2026, the Diocese of Hamilton celebrated the Installation Mass for His Excellency Bishop Joseph Dabrowksi, C.S.M.A., as its 10th Bishop at the Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King. The Installation Mass was presided over by His Eminence Frank Cardinal Leo, Archbishop of Toronto, with bishops from across Ontario and Canada concelebrating.

The celebration marked the beginning of Bishop Dabrowski’s episcopal ministry in Hamilton, bringing together clergy, religious, civic leaders, and faithful from across the Diocese. Bishop Dabrowski welcomed fellow C.S.M.A. (“Michaelite”) brothers and sisters travelling from Poland, Dominican Republic, Australia, and Cameroon, as well as friends and family visiting from around the world. He expressed gratitude to His Excellency, Bishop Douglas Crosby for 15 years of devoted and generous service as Bishop of Hamilton.

In his homily, Bishop Dabrowski delivered a powerful message of welcome and hope: “To those who may feel distant or uncertain, please know that you have a place in the diocesan family. The Church is for everyone.” Entrusting his ministry to the Lord’s mercy and the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Bishop Dabrowski concluded by introducing himself to the Diocese as “Joseph, your brother,” and encouraged all to joyfully bear Christ to the world with faith, conviction, and hope.
